Send This Guy To Washington

Is anyone saying this to our president? How much debt does each American child bear?

YouTube of the Week

No getting around it, I can't get Love Story out of my head. I blame MT and the sunny South.

In other news, Pooplet turned 7 months yesterday and at the end of the week we're coming up on our 1 month anniversary. Christmas will be low key this year at DM. I still have some shopping to do and I now might have a couple hours to throw a Christmas tree together.

Might see a few more posts since I have a month off here but I'll be in the car a lot interview hopping.

Got a flat tire to change and go get fixed. Meh.

I know the posts have all but stopped here lately. I have much to post. But for tonight, the youtube of the week will have to suffice. Find it here.

YouTube of the Week: Tribute to Michigan Winter

Who needs a fish finder? Just stick a video camera underwater and watch the action unfold. Poor lil minner.

YouTube of the Week

Last year's run as a Bath and Body Works salesgirl brought me, in addition to closets full of delicious smelling bath products, a new favorite Christmas song. It's Dino and it's all about desserts. What could be better?

YouTube of the Week

Quirky little video from my musical obsession, Feist. Of course I'll allow it because she's awesome, but they totally borrowed our moves. Tony and I dance like this in our living room.

In keeping with the theme of the day, this is the kinda fun I wanna have with Photoshop. Could you see Mistress Angela as a smokey-eyed clownhair??

And check out how this guy does lips. Slick!

Med Ed Tribute of the Week

This applies more to first and second years but the general theme is the same. The vicious cycle goes on.

Hurray, Hurray

Part of my early addiction to Grey's was the music. And eventually I was more captivated by some of the great artists, including Rilo Kiley, than I was watching the show's relationship rollercoaster crest and fall. Grey's and I grew apart but the soundtrack artists are only getting better.

This video strikes a chord with me...I can't quite put my finger on it...

Another super special medicalization of Sexy Back. Little disturbing, this one.

Any medical advice contained therein is not meant to imply any endorsement whatsoever by the Daily Dose. These guys crazy!

YouTube of the Week

Here's a great old song to remember on 7.7.07. I spent the day getting lucky at the mall ($4 sweater!). Great sales abounded and I had to add some working girl clothes to my closet.

YouTube of the Week

Vibrant digital eye candy. One of those videos you'd like to jump right into. Released back in '02 and still my favorite Utada.

Translation:

Fall in love, then it ends
I swear: This will be my last heartbreak
Even the cherry blossom trees shaking in the wind,
will bloom one day soon.

The sudden summer rain,
passed by my tears in a quiet stream
A scene so like one from my memories
A summer re-run of a fall drama.

Why do I keep getting done in by the same punch,
and yet still continue to fight?
That's one of life's little mysteries.

Fall in love, give it my everything
I hope: This will be my last heartbreak
Even the cherry blossom trees shaking through the seasons,
will bloom one day soon.

Through the cycling seasons,
my shoes will wear thin.

take it easy,
put the past away someplace else.
I don't think it's so far from here,
this place I've never seen.

get over the endless pain in my heart
I want to be closer to you.
Once around is the beginning again.
always feeling about blindly for the blue sky

Fall in love, then it ends
I swear: Today will be my first good day.
Even the cherry blossom trees shaking in the wind,
are slowly reaching out a hand to you.

I love you so much, so very much I can't do anything about it.
But this has nothing to do with that.

Danza Extraordinaria: Sylvie Guillem

By far one of the most beautiful and gifted dancers of our time. There are so many amazing videos of her out there. These are a few of my favorites.

Evidentia (Evidence)
Great at capturing Sylvie as a person and a dancer. And those feet!!

Young Sylvie dances a solo from Grand Pas Classique
Her precision and control are just amazing.

William Forsythe's In The Middle Somewhat Elevated I
My favorite! I love modern ballet. She really really shines, it's breathtaking.

William Forsythe's In The Middle Somewhat Elevated II

Older Sylvie in Wet Woman
Not your typical tutu ballet--the awkward, more choppy movements highlight her gorgeous lines and feet all the more.
