From Kat

It's like Noah's frickin' Arc out there.

Everyone pairing off neatly. Getting married. Getting engaged. Just plain getting into relationships. It's frickin' weird how the pattern waxes and wanes. As much as I want to be happy for everyone, it confuses me. I wonder if it's a bandwagon thing- or if there is something in the air. But for you new couples/newly engaged- congrats. A few of you I think are absolutely bonkers, but I still have mad love and best wishes for you.

Two by two, you go.

SOS! We need a girls' night soon!!!

Le Kat is...

the most patient woman on earth! Good things are worth waiting for but *sheesh*. ^_^

Quote of the Week

"Is that a Constitution in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?"--Kat to Lori

I prefer circadian rhythm-challenged.

I'll admit I've practiced terrible sleep hygiene for most of my life. And lately I've completely settled back into my default nocturnal rhythm. This includes sleeping late, sitting at my desk all day, then often exercising at midnight or 1am, which keeps me energized for hours thereafter. Another point of similarity that makes Kat & I such perfect housemates. She's circadian rhythm-challenged too. We enable each other. And we'd make great vampires. Ugly truth is, I'll have to join the hours of the living soon. Early mornings and long days. Bottom line, it'll be quite a shock to my system unless I start transitioning now. *grumble*

Idolfest 2007

Miss Jordin Sparks swept it! I'm sure she'd have done so with or without my 12 votes (wish I could've gotten in more but I met lots of busy signals right up 'til the end), but that still puts me squarely on the winning team. Beatboxing was hot hot tonight though, no doubt securing Mr. Blake a nice recording contract of his own. Lori joined us tonight for margaritas and we rounded out the night with Shrek 3, which was all the laughs and cuteness I expected, though I wouldn't say it's necessarily the must-see sequel #2 was.

Quotes of the Week

"It's a beautiful day for naughty!" --Kat on springing for P.F. Chang's and watching zombies on the big screen.

"And you'll feel better 'cause you'll know stuff." --Dr. Kumar on the extra benefits of reading medical textbooks with reckless abandon.

Carpe Noctem

It was a good ol' fashioned girls' night out as KrazyKitty & I started the night off right with pool at Reno's (I gave the sharky a run for her quarters, I might add) and wrapped it up at Crunchy's with great company as usual. Thanks to the gang for labeling me appropriately as I paused the action for an important phone call.

Happy 25th Kat!!!

Turning 25 is quite a feat indeed. So we celebrated with some drinks and naughty food at Reno's. And some pool. Turns out Angela's not half bad at pool after all. :)
